Michael Lobalzo Sr.

Michael was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. After moving to Akron, Ohio, he began his life long career at a mere age of 9 by cleaning scales for .25 / hr.

He graduated from the University of Akron with degrees in Marketing and Education. After graduation he officially began in the family business through attending Hobart’s 1962 Sales School.

Today Michael is a 7 time winner of Hobart’s Topper Award, past President of Hobart Agents Counsel, member of OGA and East Ohio Food Dealers, and a strong advocate for the One in Six Foundation, a charity for prostate cancer. In what little spare time he has, he enjoys golf, fly fishing, and is an instrument rated private pilot.

Richard Lobalzo

Born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, moving to Akron, Ohio at the age of 6, Rick began his career in the foodservice business working at night as a busboy at the age of 12. Learning that good service to the wait staff meant good tips, he realized quickly what customer service meant.

After graduating from The Ohio State University with his Bachelors degree in Social Sciences he began working in the family business.

With over 35 year’s experience and many industry related accolades, he realizes that it takes a great team of employees to give outstanding customer service, which makes for a GREAT COMPANY.

Dana Lobalzo Saporito

Born in Akron, Ohio, Dana was put to work in the family business as soon as she knew how to count. At this young age, her primary responsibility was to put invoices in number order.

She went on to graduate from Miami University with a degree in Zoology and Psychology. Later she obtained a Professional Selling Certificate from the University of Akron, completed Graduate Conservation courses from Miami University, and is pursuing her JD at the University of Akron School of Law.

Today Dana is the Director of Marketing and Human Resources and acts as a company representative to our customers and sales force in 17 states. She is a recipient of the Greater Akron Chamber’s 30 for the Future award, is a member of the Junior League of Akron, Leadership Akron Class XXVIII and Torchbearers Alumni Association, a Board of Trustee member for the Akron Zoo, past Board of Trustee member for Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and BARC, and enjoys fundraising for many other community organizations.

Joseph Saporito

Joe was born in Columbus, OH and began his knowledge of the food retail business as a young boy. His paternal grandfather was the Vice President of a major grocery chain of his time, while his maternal grandfather began a potato chip company that sold products in millions of retail stores nationwide.

He graduated from Miami University with Bachelor degrees in Accounting & Finance. He then obtained a Master’s of Finance degree from the University of Akron. Joe spent the first two years of his career working in Columbus with his family business in the real estate management, development, and construction fields. Joe then moved to Akron in 2004 to marry his wife Dana (Lobalzo) and obtain a Controller of Accounting position at a large real estate / construction firm.

In late 2009, Joe made the decision to leave his Controller position to join the CFED/ Lobalzo team. Joe has spent his time helping to streamline the accounting and administrative functions and assist in the day to day operations, while learning the food equipment industry. Joe is a Board of Trustee member for ADM of Summit County and Project Grad. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children and, as time permits, playing golf, practicing yoga, and traveling.
